The golden bunny in Bunny Bakery is a surprise bonus that hops across the bottom of the home screen every 3 to 6 minutes while you play. It stays on screen for about seven seconds. Tap it and you get roughly three minutes’ worth of your current production in one go, with a minimum of 250 coins. Miss it and nothing bad happens; the next one is already on its way.
When does the golden bunny appear? #
The golden bunny doesn’t show up during your very first minutes. It waits until the tutorial is nearly finished, which happens after you’ve tapped a few times, bought a Bread Stand and watched your first passive coins come in. After that:
- The first golden bunny arrives 1 to 2 minutes later, so new players see it early.
- Every one after that comes 3 to 6 minutes after the previous one was tapped or missed. The exact delay is random within that window.
It appears on the home screen, the one with the big tappable bunny. You won’t see it while you’re in the Shop, Achievements, Collection or Settings tabs, so if you want to catch them, leave the home screen up during idle moments.

How do you catch it? #
The golden bunny enters from the left edge of the screen, glowing gold with a small label showing how many coins it’s carrying. It hops four times as it crosses to the right side and disappears after about seven seconds. Tap it anywhere along the way. The tap area is a little larger than the sprite, so you don’t need perfect aim. A coin sound and a short vibration confirm the catch, and the coins land in your total right away.
If you miss it, it simply hops off the right side. There’s no penalty.
How much does the golden bunny pay? #
The reward is three minutes of your current coins per second, or 250 coins if that would be less. The label on the bunny shows the exact amount before you tap.

The 250-coin floor makes it a big deal at the start of a run. A fresh bakery with one Bread Stand makes 0.1 coins a second, so a single golden bunny is worth over 40 minutes of that income. Later the reward scales with your bakery, so it stays useful for the whole game.
How much is that per hour? #
With a new golden bunny every 3 to 6 minutes, an hour with the home screen open brings roughly 10 to 19 of them. At three minutes of production each, that adds between 30 and 57 minutes of extra production for every hour you watch. It’s the main reward for active play in a game that otherwise runs itself.
Tips for getting more from the golden bunny #
Catch it during a boost #
The reward is based on your production at that moment, including any active boost. The Free Boost menu offers 2x coins for 5 minutes or 3x coins for 90 seconds (each through an optional ad). Buy upgrades before it shows up #
Since the payout tracks your current coins per second, a purchase that raises production right before a golden bunny arrives also raises the bunny’s reward. That’s not something to plan your whole session around, but it’s a reason not to sit on coins you could be spending.
Use it early in a fresh run #
After a prestige you restart with 100 coins and tiny production. The 250-coin minimum means the first few golden bunnies can pay for your first Bread Stands and your Stronger Paws upgrade almost by themselves. Our beginner tips lay out a good opening order.
