Prestige in Bunny Bakery opens up once you’ve earned 1 billion coins in your current run. Resetting clears your coins, stations and upgrades and gives you Sparkle Stars, and each star adds 2% to your production for the rest of the game. The best time to do it is when your run has slowed down and the next worthwhile purchase is hours away, not the moment you cross 1 billion.
How does prestige work in Bunny Bakery? #
The home screen has a “Path to Prestige” card with a progress bar that fills toward 1.00B. The number it tracks is the coins you’ve earned during this run, not the coins you’re holding, so spending never sets you back. Everything that pays you counts toward it: stations, taps, offline earnings, the golden bunny, daily bonuses and achievement rewards.
When the run is worth stars, the card changes to “Prestige unlocked!” Tapping it opens a confirmation screen that lists what you keep and what you lose. Confirm, and the bakery starts over with 100 coins and your new stars applied.
How many Sparkle Stars do you get? #
Stars follow a square-root curve. The game takes the coins you earned this run, divides by 1 billion, takes the square root and rounds down.

Stars stack across runs. Three runs of 4 billion each leave you with 6 stars and +12%.
The curve is the main thing to understand. Doubling a run’s coins gets you about 41% more stars, and you need four times the coins to double them. Early stars are cheap and later ones get expensive, which is why short and medium runs usually beat one enormous run.
Why later runs need to go further #
In the current version, the Prestige card only appears once your run is worth more stars than you already hold. On your first run that’s 1 billion coins. If you have 3 stars banked, the card shows up around the 16 billion mark (the 4-star point) instead. Each run’s reset therefore lands a bit later than the last, which keeps the resets meaningful. After a reset, your star total is shown in the header and in Settings under Stats, along with your lifetime count.

Achievements matter as much as stars here. Each one adds a permanent 1% and none of them reset, so a player with 20 achievements and 10 stars starts every run with roughly 44% more output than a brand-new bakery. Is it worth prestiging at 1 billion coins? #
A reset at exactly 1 billion gets you one star, which is +2%. On its own that’s small. The first prestige comes with extras, though:
- The Lavender bunny chef. She’s awarded for your first prestige. Goldie follows at five prestiges. See how to get every bunny chef.
- The Sweet Reset achievement: another +1% and 1,000 coins.
- The Billion-Bun achievement, which you get the moment your earnings pass 1 billion. It pays 500 million coins, so your run jumps to about 1.5 billion right away. That’s still one star, but it puts the 2-star mark at 4 billion within closer reach.
If your bakery is still growing steadily at 1 billion, push on toward 4 billion for 2 stars. If you’re stuck waiting hours for the next station, reset. The rebuild is quick, because cheap early stations come back fast and your achievement bonus carries over.
What about a long first run? #
Some players ride the first run to 100 billion for 10 stars. That works, but the late part of a run is slow: a Wedding Cake Wonderland costs 5.1 billion coins and a Royal Bakery 75 billion. Several shorter runs can collect the same stars in less time, and each reset also counts toward the prestige achievements for 5 and 25 resets. There’s no single right answer, since it depends on how often you check in. If you play in short bursts with long idle gaps, longer runs suit you better, because offline earnings cap at 8 hours either way.
A simple prestige routine #
- Play the first run to 1 billion earned. Collect the Billion-Bun bonus and keep buying.
- Watch your pace. When the next purchase that matters is more than a few hours away, get ready to reset.
- Don’t hoard coins. Stars are based on coins earned, not coins held, so buying something right before a reset never costs you stars.
- Push over a threshold if one is close. If you’re at 3.6 billion and 4 billion means a second star, a 2x or 3x boost from the Free Boost menu can get you there faster. Boosts are optional and run through a short ad.
- Reset, then rebuild in order. Bread Stand, Stronger Paws, Cookie Counter, then work up the station list with the Smart upgrades at 5 of each. Our beginner tips cover the opening.
One practical note: a full-screen ad can play right after you confirm a prestige, since it’s a natural break in the game. The game waits at least 90 seconds between full-screen ads.
How prestige compares with other idle games #
Bunny Bakery’s system is gentle. Many idle games use a similar reset-for-a-bonus loop, and some stack several layers of prestige on top of each other. No. Achievements, and the permanent +1% each one gives, survive every reset. So do your bunny chefs, your settings and your daily login streak.
Why can’t I see the prestige button? #
You need to have earned at least 1 billion coins in the current run. After your first reset, the card waits until your run would earn more stars than you already hold, so it appears later each time. Check the progress bar on the home screen to see where you stand.
How much is one Sparkle Star worth? #
Each star adds 2% to your production and your tap value, permanently. Stars also raise your daily login reward, because that reward is multiplied by your star bonus.
Is there a limit to Sparkle Stars? #
There’s no fixed cap. The only limit is how many coins you earn in a run, and the square-root curve means each extra star costs more than the last. There are achievements for holding 3 and 25 stars.
Should I prestige as soon as I can? #
Usually not on the very first chance unless your progress has stalled. Keep going while purchases still come every few minutes, then reset when the gaps stretch to hours.
